
Terms and Conditions
1. Definitions and Scope
“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to Home On Wheels Ltd, trading as Maverick Outdoors.
“Customer”, “you”, or “your” refers to any individual or entity purchasing our products or services.
“Products” refers to campervans, custom conversions, camper kits, accessories, and any goods supplied by us.
“Services” refers to design, build, conversion, consultancy, delivery, installation, and related services provided by Maverick Outdoors.
“Working Agreement” refers to any quotation, specification sheet, invoice, signed agreement, or written communication relating to a project or order.
2. Quotations and Appointments
2.1 All quotations are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated in writing.
2.2 Estimates and quotations may be subject to change due to supplier pricing, material availability, specification changes, or additional customer requests.
2.3 Any amendments to agreed specifications after acceptance may result in additional charges and revised completion times.
2.4 Workshop visits are by appointment only to ensure safety and minimise disruption to ongoing projects.
3. Orders and Deposits
3.1 Stock Vehicles
A £2000 booking deposit is required to reserve a stock vehicle.
Further payment requirements and timelines will be confirmed within the relevant Working Agreement.
3.2 Custom Conversions
A non-refundable booking deposit of £500 is required to secure a build slot and to access our Van Sourcing Support to those who don't already acquire a van.
Deposits are non-refundable but is included in the final cost.
4. Payment Terms
4.1 Payment schedules will be outlined within the relevant quotation or Working Agreement.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

An initial payment of 50% of the quoted amount, shown on invoice, is due approximately six weeks prior to the vehicle drop-off date.

A second payment of 25% is due upon vehicle drop-off.

The remaining balance of 25% is due prior to collection of the completed vehicle.
4.2 Full cleared payment must be received before any vehicle is released or goods are dispatched.
4.3 Payment by bank transfer is preferred. Card payments may incur an additional processing fee.
4.4 Failure to make payment within 48 hours of a written reminder may result in suspension of work until payment is received.
5. Cancellation Policy
5.1 Orders may be cancelled without charge within 24 hours of acceptance unless materials have already been ordered or work has commenced.
5.2 For custom conversions, deposits are non-refundable once design work, material procurement, or workshop scheduling has begun.
5.3 If a project is cancelled after work has commenced, Maverick Outdoors reserves the right to retain payments equivalent to work completed, materials purchased, and costs incurred up to the cancellation date.
6. Retention of Ownership
6.1 Ownership of all goods, components, and completed works remains with Maverick Outdoors until full payment has been received in cleared funds.
6.2 In cases of non-payment, we reserve the right, where legally permitted, to remove installed components or recover goods equivalent to the outstanding balance.
7. Products and Materials
7.1 Images, photographs, and marketing materials are for illustrative purposes only. Bespoke products may vary slightly in appearance or finish.
7.2 We reserve the right to substitute materials or components with alternatives of equal or greater quality where necessary due to supplier availability or manufacturing requirements.
7.3 Any customer-supplied products or components must be approved by us prior to installation. We accept no liability for the suitability, compatibility, or safety of customer-supplied items.
7.4 We are not prohibited to fit second hand products such as wheels.
8. Vehicle Requirements and Customer Responsibilities
8.1 Customers must supply a clean, structurally sound, rust-free, and watertight vehicle suitable for conversion work.
8.2 All personal belongings must be removed from the vehicle before delivery. We accept no responsibility for lost or damaged personal items left inside the vehicle.
8.3 Delays in vehicle delivery or collection may impact project timelines. Storage charges may apply for overdue collections.
8.4 During the conversion process, certain original vehicle components may need to be removed, adjusted, or reinstalled. While all reasonable care and professional methods will be used, older or corroded components may fail during removal or refitting due to their condition and age.
Where such failures occur without negligence on our part, the customer will be responsible for the cost of replacement parts and associated labour.
8.5 Customers must provide locking wheel nut keys, radio codes, alarm codes, and paint codes where applicable before work commences.
8.6 Customers are responsible for informing us in writing of any specific accessibility requirements, medical considerations, or intended specialist use before work begins. We cannot be held responsible if these requirements are not disclosed during the design and quotation stage.
8.9 Vehicles delivered with existing ply lining, flooring, or panelling may incur an additional charge of up to £120 to cover labour associated with removal and the disposal of materials.
9. Completion and Collection
9.1 Estimated completion dates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to supplier issues, technical challenges, or specification changes.
9.2 Completed vehicles must be collected within 7 days of notification unless otherwise agreed in writing.
9.3 Storage charges may apply to vehicles not collected within the agreed timeframe.
10. Warranty
10.1 We provide a 24-month warranty on Core Conversion workmanship from the date of collection. This includes: fridge, hob, sink, leisure battery, diesel heater, other electrical components, water system components, elevating bed, including struts, swivel seat mechanism, furniture wrap.
10.2 Individual components may carry manufacturer warranties. These may vary in duration and coverage. Includes: Pop Top (5), heater (3), leisure battery (5), Mobiframe bed (lifetime).
10.3 Unless otherwise stated, labour for replacement under manufacturer warranties may be chargeable (£80 ex VAT per hour).
10.4 This warranty covers defects arising from workmanship or supplied materials under normal use.
10.5 The warranty does not cover:

General wear and tear

Customer misuse or accidental damage

Lack of maintenance

Water ingress caused by damage or third-party modifications

Third-party repairs or alterations

Manufacturer defects covered separately under supplier warranties
10.6 Warranty claims must be submitted in writing with supporting photographs where possible.
10.7 Vehicles may need to be returned to our workshop for inspection and repair.
10.8 Any third-party manufacturer warranties remain subject to the terms and conditions of the original supplier.
10.9 Vehicle mechanical warranties, where provided, are administered by a third-party warranty provider and should be handled directly through the warranty company in the first instance.
11. Returns and Refunds
11.1 Bespoke conversions and custom-built products are non-refundable once work has commenced.
11.2 Standard camper kits and accessories may be returned within 14 days of delivery provided they are unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging.
11.3 Returns must be authorised by us prior to shipment.
11.4 Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or incorrectly supplied.
11.5 Refunds will be processed following inspection of returned items.
12. Limitation of Liability
12.1 Nothing within these Terms shall limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded under English law.
12.2 Subject to clause 12.1, Maverick Outdoors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of income, profit, enjoyment, or opportunity.
12.3 Our total liability in connection with any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the relevant products or services.
12.4 We accept no liability for faults or damage arising from pre-existing vehicle conditions or undisclosed modifications.
13. Intellectual Property
13.1 All designs, documents, manuals, photographs, videos, branding, and marketing materials remain the intellectual property of Maverick Outdoors unless otherwise agreed in writing.
13.2 Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use without written permission is prohibited.
14. Subcontracting
14.1 We may subcontract specialist elements of work including, but not limited to, paintwork, wrap, upholstery and tow bar installation.
14.2 Maverick Outdoors remains responsible for overall project quality and coordination.
15. Complaints Procedure
15.1 Complaints must be submitted in writing via email to hello@maverickoutdoors.co.uk or by post to our registered address.
15.2 We aim to acknowledge complaints within 3 working days.
15.3 Investigations will typically be completed within 10–20 working days depending on complexity.
15.4 A written response will be provided outlining findings and any proposed resolution.
15.5 If unresolved, the matter may be escalated to a company director for final review.
15.6 Customers may seek further guidance from Citizens Advice.
16. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
17. Photography and Marketing
17.1 We may photograph or film completed projects for marketing, portfolio, and social media purposes.
17.2 Customers who wish to opt out must notify us in writing before work commences.
18. Insurance and Risk
18.1 Vehicles in our care are covered under our motor trade insurance policy while on our premises during working hours.
18.2 Customers must maintain their own valid vehicle insurance throughout the duration of the project.
18.3 Vehicles delivered or collected outside agreed hours are left entirely at the owner’s risk unless otherwise confirmed in writing.
