Upgrading your upholstery
Your seats are the part of the van you touch most. Upgrading them changes how the whole camper feels, from the first school run to the longest drive to the mountains.
Why upgrade your upholstery?
Every Maverick comes with Mobiframe seat-beds in black leatherette with Alcantara centres. They are hard-wearing, crash tested and easy to live with. Upgrading the upholstery is about making the van feel like yours.
You can upgrade the front seats, the rear seat, or both, and choose their colours separately. Match them for a seamless look, or pick a contrasting rear seat. It is the single biggest change you can make to how the inside of your van looks and feels.
Real leather: premium, practical and more sustainable
Real leather looks and feels like a premium car interior, and it gets better with age. It is tough, easy to wipe clean after a muddy walk or a sandy beach, and it breathes, so it stays more comfortable in summer and winter.
It is also a more sustainable choice than many people expect. Leather is a by-product of the food industry: the hides already exist, and turning them into long-lasting upholstery puts them to good use. Many fake leather alternatives are made from plastics such as PU and PVC, which are oil-based and tend to crack and peel long before good leather wears out.
Real leather upholstery can be added to any upgraded seats, front or rear.
Sports seats: the upgrade you feel at the wheel
Our sports seats upgrade is the kind of seat you would expect in a premium, high-end car, in the spirit of an Audi S line interior. Shaped foam bolsters are built into the seat before it is upholstered, so the seat holds you properly.
The difference shows up on the road:
- Support through the corners. The bolsters hold you in place, so you are not bracing yourself on twisty roads.
- Comfort on long journeys. Better support means less fidgeting and less fatigue, so you arrive feeling fresher.
- A different driving experience. The van feels more planted and more premium every time you get in.
Sports seats need the front seats upgrade and two single front seats.

Like everything else in a Maverick, our upholstery is chosen to last as long as the conversion. If you are going to spend hours in these seats, on the road and at camp, it is worth getting them right.
