  1. 1Canvas

Use warm water and a mild, natural soap, or a specialist tent cleaner such as Fenwicks Awning & Tent Cleaner, applied with a soft-bristled brush or damp cloth. Never use harsh chemicals, bleach or a power washer.

  2. 2Tambour doors

Lightly sand and oil the oak slats of the tambour doors from time to time. We recommend Osmo Oil.

  3. 3Blinds

Inspect for mould or mildew. Blinds can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.

  4. 4Fridge

Clean with lukewarm water and bicarbonate of soda or vinegar. Rinse, then dry carefully with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive products, detergents and soaps.

  5. 5Worktops

For everyday cleaning use a mild washing-up liquid solution and a microfibre cloth. Lightly sand and oil the bamboo worktops from time to time. We recommend Osmo Oil.

  6. 6Upholstery

Clean in circular motions with liquid hand soap and water (1 part soap to 9 parts water). Rinse and wipe with a clean, damp white cloth to remove any soap. Repeat as needed, then let it dry. Never use abrasive sponges.

  7. 7Drawers and cupboards

Lubricate drawer runners and cupboard hinges to stop squeaks and keep them running smoothly. Wipe the furniture fronts with warm soapy water and a microfibre cloth. Vacuum inside drawers if needed.

  8. 8Carpet lining

When needed, clean the carpet gently without soaking it. Too much moisture can damage the adhesive behind it. Vacuum thoroughly, use a pH-neutral upholstery shampoo, scrub softly with a brush and blot away the moisture.

  9. 9Floor

Vacuum regularly, including inside the rails if debris collects. Clean with a well-wrung mop and warm water. Avoid lots of water, and never use boiling water.
