On vans with the underslung tank, this means the tank is empty. Switch the pump off at the switch under the sink, then refill. More on the underslung tank.

Something electrical has stopped working4 steps
If something on the 12V side stops working, such as the lights, fridge, USB sockets or heater fan, a blown fuse is the most likely cause.

- Check the 12V is switched on at the Clayton unit and that the battery is not low.
- Open the cupboard directly underneath the Clayton. The fuse box is on the wall inside.
- Look for a red light. If a fuse is faulty, the light beside it comes on, so you can see straight away which one it is.
- Swap that fuse for a new one of the same rating. The number is printed on the fuse.
The van's starter battery is flatInfo
The Clayton power unit can give the starter battery a boost. See jump starting from the Clayton unit.
The hook-up cable is getting warmInfo
Unplug it and unwind the whole cable before reconnecting, even if the post is right beside the van. A coiled cable can overheat.
An AdBlue warning light has come onInfo
Top up the AdBlue. Its filler cap is usually next to the diesel cap, so take care not to put one in the other.
The heater is not behavingInfo
If the control is showing a code, look it up in heater fault codes. Low fuel is the most common cause. Heaters that sit unused can build up carbon, so run yours for 15 to 20 minutes once a month. Heater care.
